The Hunt
I haven't written very much lately, so I should do something with these letters here.
The weekend was awesome. Lizzy's hunt in SF was quite intense. We raced up and down all the streets with the task lists flapping in our hands, trying to keep up with those of us who ran the fastest... and who were a tad more competitive than the rest of us.
Having an excuse like a scavenger hunt meant that it was slightly easier to talk to random people on the street, where as usually you would just walk by without more than a glance.
We all met Owen the Australian that way. He walked passed and we were all so interesting, and our singers so enticing that we caught him. Then we all mentioned that we are on a scavenger hunt and are not just plain creepos. That way people are more likely to help us, and then they can go about their day with a smile rather than being scared.
Except for the jerk face in the liquor store who seemed almost disgusted that we were on a hunt. he was probably just bored, and a complete loser. Oh well. Everyone can't smile :)
I was kind of a cheat, calling all those people to google ways to say happy birthday in other languages. we ended up with 23 though, so good for us! The list even included Klingon! (correct me if I'm wrong Kiele)
Well in the end we won so good for us! Run, run, running pays off.
