Senior Best

I just started filling out the senior best sheet and a few things keep coming up that seem to boggle my mind.

1) It has come to my attention that I don't know everyone off hand. I thought I would be more acquainted with my senior class, but that fact remains that I am (perhaps regrettably) not. I seem to recognize names and faces, and on occasion I will draw a blank, but for the most part I don't know enough about my fellows to categorize them into the sections given (e. g. best dressed, drama king and queen, most spirited, most likely to take over the world). And yet I am proud that I know the people that I do. They have obviously made an impact on me, so thank you all. In a world full of strangers I feel very fortunate to laugh, smile, and shed tears with my close, lovely friends.

2) As I stated above, it is hard for the majority to really know a lot of people, and yet there will be people who will get these senior bests. Someone's name will come out on more ballots than the rest for a category. So one person, even quietly, will affect the student body and be awarded a best (though it may not actual describe them in truth).

3) For some reason my mind keeps wandering to names of people who don't attend the school. Lauren M. and Gentleman-W have emblazoned my mind and I feel enclined to let their names fall on the senior best. Even people who aren't seniors might deserve the a best more than the current seniors
. But alas, their time will soon come.

Yummy

Oh Joy!

At this very moment in time, I have the ultimate, mouth watering, seemingly hot, taste-bud-lover next to me. Naan. It’s from Trader Joe’s, so not the perfect specimen, but pretty darn close. I should really sleep but I can’t seem to accept that there are only a few days of break left, so I want to use every minute. Though to be perfectly honest, my brain gets to a point where if I keep stretching the minutes, I end up making very little sense. A little earlier I kept trying to explain that I had dried my hair in the car with the window open as I drove. What came out was, “I drode my hair in the car.” I kept saying this, thinking it was right, but hearing that it made no sense.

News of my break later.

I have finished my Naan, and am off to bed. Finally. :)

Frankenanner

Look Yan, I've updated :)

That would be lame if that's all I said, but that is pretty much all I am going to say for the moment because I happen to be in art.

You have yet to meet Frankenanner, who is the newest addition to the family. He is also the the most recently deceased. Fruit never keeps as long as it should, especially when there are many jab wounds involved. WHAT, You may ask, was I doing last weekend? Well I had an excellent time with Lilith and JuJu giving a banana a lobotomy. He did well in recovery, and lived well for the rest of his life... He was released into the wild, and lived happily to the end of his days... which unfortunately for a sliced banana is only about a day. R.I.P Frankenannar. You will be hungrily missed.

Soon you shall have pictures :) yay!

Unintended Lazyness

So... I'm in art.

But I'm not doing art, as you can tell. Mr. Temple has been talking since 12:25... a constant stream of his pounding views on global warming, Saddam Hussein, and now he's talking about why it's a waste to try to stop polluting. He's presenting an intense monologue about his low flow toilet, and what the man next to him was doing on the bus that caused him to never take public transportation again.

I should probably read Pride and Prejudice. I have to read 8 chapters by tomorrow. I have been expecting Mr. Temple to join me in the computer room to discuss my project. Don't count on it. He said he was going to instruct me, but who is he kidding? Lauren H. got him going, now he'll never stop. He's like the energizer bunny, but less furry.

Don't get me wrong. I like the guy, I just feel a little neglected. Who needs to hear anybody talk for this long? Yeah sure, say what you want, get your point across, but then get on with your life. I think he just likes hearing himself talk. He has a lot of interesting things to say, I just wish he would edit himself just a little more. And maybe have an open mind, with a little more room for actually listen to other people. Views are important, EVERYBODY'S views. He can be a really kind, compassionate person, and at the same time a very angry little man. He's sure funny. Now he's badmouthing Ms. Cone.

Mr. Temple, I am sending mental fingers that are tapping you on the shoulder and reminding you that you left me here... in the computer room.

On second thought maybe I should just tip-toe on over to my desk and get my English homework. Now he's talking about Vietnam. Maybe he's distracted enough not to notice...
