Once You Saw It Too

Do you ever wonder?
Have you even thought to cry?
This ancient world has seen our kind
It’s not as if we’re rare to find

I ask you now, today
Do you hear the things you say?
Drifting through a dreamless haze
How else can I rephrase

My hand has no more meaning
Stretched out right before your gaze
You see through it to somewhere far
When all I miss is where you are

Rainy days are not the same
As when you watched me, and you and saw
I kept nothing locked away
Greeting the newness of the day

Do you ever wonder?
Have you even thought to cry?
What is it we all wish for?
It so clearly lives within the eyes

Weightless wonder
Freedom to be alive
Surrounded by warm embraces
Surprise alight our faces.

Thank you,

I'm at the point now when coherent writing is lost on me
